TECNO has revealed its most ambitious device yet, the Phantom Ultimate Fold, a futuristic concept phone that brings together innovation, style, and speed in one powerful package. With this device, TECNO is boldly stepping into the foldable phone market, aiming directly at rivals like Samsung.

What sets the Phantom Ultimate Fold apart is its rollable display, which transforms from a compact 6.55-inch screen to a full 7.11-inch display in just 1.2 seconds. Unlike traditional foldable phones that use hinges and multiple screens, TECNO’s new approach uses a motorized rolling mechanism that extends the screen with a smooth, automated motion offering users a tablet-like experience in a regular smartphone form.

Despite its advanced tech, the device remains slim, lightweight, and ideal for one-handed use, addressing one of the most common complaints about foldable devices: bulkiness. It also boasts protective layers and display durability that TECNO says will stand up to everyday use.

This concept phone is TECNO’s clearest signal yet that it’s no longer content with being just a mid-range phone brand. By pushing the boundaries of innovation and design, TECNO is sending a message to industry giants, it’s ready to play in the premium league.

Although the Phantom Ultimate Fold is still a concept, its debut shows where TECNO is headed and what future smartphones could look like.
