GuidesCafe is a forum where Nigerian students ask questions and get answers from people who have already been through the same process. You post about JAMB, Post-UTME, admission lists, WAEC results, scholarships, NYSC or life on campus, and members who have handled it before reply with what actually worked for them.
Every thread stays up once it’s answered, so the student searching the same question next session finds your answer sitting there waiting for them. That’s the whole idea behind the site. One person asks, and hundreds of people who never registered still get the benefit.
Ask the people who have already done it
Admission requirements shift from one session to the next, cut-off marks move, screening formats change and portals behave differently each year. The person who completed their Post-UTME screening last month usually has the most current picture of how it went, which department was competitive and what the portal asked for. When you post here, that’s who you’re talking to.
You’ll also find current undergraduates, corps members and recent graduates who can tell you what a course is really like to study, how a school handles accommodation, or whether a scholarship is worth the application effort.
Who you’ll find here
- UTME candidates working through registration, subject combinations and scores
- Applicants waiting on Post-UTME screening and admission lists
- WAEC, NECO and NABTEB candidates, including GCE and awaiting result cases
- Polytechnic, college of education and nursing applicants
- Undergraduates dealing with courses, hostels, GPA and academic calendars
- Corps members and prospective corps members at every stage of service
- Parents and guardians trying to understand a process on behalf of their child
Where your question goes
The forum is split into boards so questions land in front of the right people. JAMB and UTME handles everything around the exam itself. Post-UTME and Admissions covers screening through to acceptance fee. There are separate boards for O’Level exams, for polytechnics, colleges and nursing, for scholarships, for NYSC, and for campus life and early career questions.
Pick the board that matches your situation, give your thread a title that reads like a real question, and add the details that matter such as your score, your state, your school or your course. Threads with details get answered. Threads that just say “please help me” usually don’t.
The line we hold on exam malpractice
GuidesCafe doesn’t host expo, runs, leaked question papers, paid answer groups or anything sold as guaranteed admission. Posts of that kind are removed and the accounts behind them are banned without appeal. Anyone offering to sell you admission or claiming to have a contact inside an institution is running a scam, and reporting them in your thread helps protect the next person who reads it.
Who runs GuidesCafe
The forum is published by NextFrame Publishing Group, an independent Nigerian digital media company. GuidesCafe isn’t affiliated with JAMB, WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, NYSC, the Federal Ministry of Education or any university, polytechnic or college. We don’t process applications, we don’t sell admission and we don’t accept payment to influence what members are told.
Answers here come from members sharing their own experience, so treat them as guidance and confirm anything official on the relevant institution or examination body portal before you act on it. Registration is free and takes about a minute if you’re ready to post.
