These rules exist so that a student arriving with a genuine question gets a useful answer instead of noise. Register an account and you’re agreeing to them. Moderators apply them consistently, and most enforcement is a quiet edit or a thread move rather than anything dramatic.
Post where your question belongs
Each board covers a defined area, and threads posted in the wrong one get moved rather than deleted. If your question spans two boards, pick the one closest to what you actually need and mention the rest in the body. Don’t post the same question in several boards at once, since that splits your answers across threads and nobody sees the full picture.
Write a title that says what you need
A title like “JAMB 2027 subject combination for Nursing” brings the right people in. A title like “urgent help” or “please I need answer” brings nobody. Put your specifics in the body, including your score, your state of origin where catchment matters, the school and course you’re after, and what you’ve already tried or already been told.
Search before you post. Plenty of questions have been answered already, and adding to an existing thread keeps the answers in one place.
Answer from experience, and say when you’re not sure
The value of this forum rests entirely on answers being accurate. If you went through the process yourself, say so and say when. If you’re repeating something you heard, make that clear so the person asking can weigh it properly. Guessing with confidence about deadlines, cut-off marks or requirements can cost someone an admission, which is a real consequence for a real person.
Link to the official portal or notice where one exists. Members can verify a source themselves, and it settles disagreements faster than argument does.
What gets you banned immediately
Two categories carry no warning and no appeal. The first is exam malpractice in any form, covering expo, runs, leaked papers, answer groups, impersonation services and anything presented as guaranteed answers. The second is selling admission, whether that’s framed as a connection inside an institution, a processing fee, an upgrade service or a guaranteed list placement.
If someone contacts you privately with either offer after you post, report it. Scammers watch admission forums for exactly that reason, and no legitimate member of staff at any Nigerian institution will message a stranger on a forum about their admission.
Keep it civil and keep it clean
Disagree with the answer, not with the person. Insults, tribal or religious attacks, harassment and pile-ons on a member who asked a basic question all get removed. Many people here are sixteen or seventeen and asking something for the first time, so answer them the way you’d want your younger sibling answered.
No advertising, affiliate links, referral codes or channel promotion in threads or signatures. Don’t post other people’s phone numbers, addresses, admission details or results. Don’t post the same message across multiple threads.
How moderation actually works
Minor problems get an edit, a move or a private note. Repeated issues get a warning, then a temporary suspension. Malpractice and admission scams get a permanent ban on the first offence. New accounts have their first few posts held for review, which usually clears within a few hours.
If you think a moderator got it wrong, message the team rather than arguing in the thread. Appeals get read, and decisions do get reversed when the call was wrong.
