The National Youth Service Corps has announced that its online registration portal for prospective corps members will officially open on Wednesday, March 12, 2026.
According to the scheme, the registration exercise will run until Tuesday, March 18, 2026, giving eligible graduates a one week window to complete their registration on the NYSC portal.
The announcement was made through a notice released by the NYSC management, informing prospective corps members to begin preparing for the registration process ahead of the opening date. The scheme stated that only graduates whose Senate or Academic Board approved results have been uploaded by their institutions will be able to register successfully.
NYSC advised prospective corps members to confirm that their details have already been uploaded by their institutions before attempting to register. This verification can be done through the Senate list verification portal, which allows candidates to confirm their eligibility for mobilization.
The scheme also reminded applicants to ensure that their names on the NYSC portal match the records on their certificates and National Identity Management Commission database. Any discrepancy in names or personal details could delay or affect the registration process.
Eligible graduates are expected to complete their registration through the official NYSC website within the stated period. During the process, candidates will upload required documents, complete their biodata, and choose options relating to mobilization.
NYSC urged all prospective corps members to carefully follow the registration guidelines provided on the portal and to complete the process before the deadline to avoid missing out on the upcoming service year mobilization.
The registration exercise is a crucial step for graduates preparing to participate in the next NYSC orientation programme and begin their mandatory one year national service to the country.
With the portal opening on March 12, thousands of Nigerian graduates across the country are expected to begin the process that will eventually lead them to orientation camps and their deployment for national service.
