The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced a fresh update for prospective corps members (PCMs) in the 2026 Batch ‘B’ Stream II mobilisation exercise, confirming that the physical verification of foreign-trained graduates has been completed.

The update, shared on the Scheme’s official X account, signals the beginning of another key stage in the mobilisation process as eligible candidates await the release of their call-up numbers and call-up letters.

According to the NYSC, attention has now shifted to the review and clearance of records submitted by foreign-trained prospective corps members who participated in the recently concluded physical verification exercise.

The review process is expected to ensure that only candidates whose academic credentials and supporting documents meet the Scheme’s mobilisation requirements are cleared for national service.

Foreign-trained graduates are required to undergo physical verification before mobilisation to confirm the authenticity of their academic qualifications and other relevant documents.

The NYSC explained that the release of call-up numbers and call-up letters will commence only after the verification exercise has been fully reviewed and successful candidates have been cleared.

Call-up numbers are issued to eligible prospective corps members before the publication of call-up letters, which contain important details such as the state of deployment, reporting date and orientation camp information.

The Scheme advised candidates to remain patient while the clearance process is completed.

While no specific date has been announced for the release of call-up numbers or call-up letters, the NYSC assured prospective corps members that official updates would be communicated through its verified platforms.

Candidates are therefore encouraged to avoid relying on unverified information circulating on social media and to monitor the NYSC portal and official communication channels for authentic announcements.

The latest development indicates that the mobilisation process is progressing as planned for the 2026 Batch ‘B’ Stream II service year.

Once the clearance of verified foreign-trained graduates is completed, the NYSC is expected to proceed with issuing call-up numbers, followed by the release of call-up letters for eligible prospective corps members.

Successful candidates will then be able to print their call-up letters and prepare for the orientation course at their designated camps across the country.

The completion of the physical verification exercise marks another important milestone in the 2026 Batch ‘B’ Stream II mobilisation process.

Although prospective corps members are eager to receive their deployment details, the NYSC has made it clear that the review and clearance stage must be completed before call-up numbers and call-up letters are released.

For now, eligible candidates are advised to remain patient and rely solely on updates published by the NYSC as preparations continue for the next phase of the mobilisation exercise.
