JAMB CAPS Still Shows “Not Admitted”? Here’s What It Actually Means

If you checked your JAMB CAPS and saw “Not Admitted”, don’t immediately assume that your admission is over.
JAMB recently explained that “Not Admitted” simply means you have not been offered admission yet. Your status can still change as institutions continue processing admissions.
So, if you’re still waiting for your 2026/2027 admission:
Keep checking your CAPS regularly.
Also make sure your O’Level result is correctly uploaded to your JAMB profile, especially if your school requires it for admission processing.
And if your status changes to “Admitted”, don’t forget to accept the offer on CAPS.
One more thing: JAMB says candidates with outstanding admissions from 2021 to 2026 have until September 30, 2026 to accept or reject those offers.
Bottom line: Seeing “Not Admitted” today does not automatically mean you have lost your chance. Keep checking your JAMB CAPS.
