Planning to study Education? There is an important JAMB change you should know.

Starting from the 2026/2027 admission session, JAMB says Colleges of Education will no longer admit students directly into affiliated university degree programmes.

If you want to enter a College of Education, the route will now be through the NCE programme. JAMB has also ruled out direct admission into 100 or 200 level for these affiliated degree programmes.

So if you’re currently planning to apply for a degree programme through a College of Education, don’t assume the old admission route still applies.

Check the programme you’re applying for and confirm the admission route before paying any application fee.
