Why Internships For Nursing Graduates?

The nursing internship training program is a training program mandated by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) for newly qualified nurses. The period for the internship is just one year. In this one-year training program, these freshers in the field are allowed to work in hospitals to gain exposure to clinical procedures.

These nurses would be able to improve their skills in nursing and be integrated into the professional environment. It is a requirement before anyone can be given a professional license in Nigeria to work as a nurse.
